Goa Rediscovered

Arambol Beach is located in northern Goa, India. Arambol has a distinct bohemian feel which is no longer found in other areas and this inevitably attracts many alternative travelers.
.
A short walk north off the main beach is a smaller beach with a "fresh water lake" close to the sea. The water here is a mixture of fresh water and sea water. Within the jungle valley surrounding the lake nestles a spectacular Banyan tree.

Adjoining the banyan tree there is a stone sculpture created by an American Conceptual and Land art artist Jacek Tylicki . It is a stone bowl upon which is inscribed Give if you can - Take if you have to - also called The Money Stone. It has become a pilgrimage destination.

On the walk from the main beach to the sweet lake, do stop by this little hand crafted jewelry shack called the “ Shiva and Moon handicraft store”

Its run by this amazing fellow called Shiva and his brother Moon. You cant miss him – little dude, tigers eye amulet on his right arm, long curly locks. What this dude lacks in size, he makes up in soul. The man has an energy a spiritual aura around him larger and more stronger than the mountainside his shack is built on. He has traveled all around the country , has the awareness of a oracle and the humility of a saint.
Stop by, spend some time, smoke a doobie. You wont regret it.

Beautiful end to a beautiful day
